Partnerships in Care rebrand their intranet
Partnerships in Care has just launched their rebranded intranet site SYNAPSE.
As the largest independent provider of secure mental health services in the UK, naming their intranet after an important part of the nervous system seemed particularly fitting.
As part of requirements gathering, a card sort was carried out to help identify which content was no longer relevant. Another priority was to create a simpler navigation structure, to enable staff to access content easily.
Having selected content to be migrated, the organisation opted for a fresh installation of the latest version of SORCE.
Their new home page has 3 main areas of focus:
- Our People
- Clinical Practice
- Operations
The organisation actively encourages ideas and suggestions from their employees. The ‘Awards and Recognition’ area of the site allows staff to submit ideas with rewards given to the best suggestions as well as to recognise staff achievements.
Another important element of the site is the Projects area where staff can access all relevant documentation and information related to a specific project.
Lorna Hamblin, Communications Manager at Partnerships in Care said “Rebranding has given us a more streamlined intranet. We’ve removed all outdated and irrelevant content giving our site a much fresher feel. Our staff wanted a site where they could perform tasks and searches quickly and SYNAPSE delivers just that”.
