SORCE help organisations to improve efficiency during economic downturn
Despite difficult economic conditions, more organisations are turning to SORCE’s Intranet, Extranet and Portal technology to help them deliver better staff efficiency and control costs. Many companies are finding their intranet systems are not only out of date but also expensive to maintain and so they are looking to SORCE to provide them with an intranet solution.
The economic downturn has meant that many organisations, particularly those in the government sector need to maximise their existing resources. To make the most of their limited funds, companies are using portals to provide a gateway to their existing back office systems such as HR. This has enabled organisations to provide a more efficient service to both their staff and clientele.
SORCE have been able to provide organisations like these an effective intranet solution, and as a result of this have seen growth of 22% in 2010 compared with the same period in 2009.
John Nicklin, Commercial Director at SORCE said “Despite the tough economic climate, we have seen our revenue grow by 22% in 2010. Many companies are realising the value of investing in their intranets to create long term efficiencies for their business.”
SORCE plan to build on their success by driving technology forward into new areas such as social media technology. With the continued popularity of Web 2.0 technology such as Facebook and Twitter, the company foresee a greater demand for intranets that incorporate a social element.
