Having implemented SORCE just under two years ago, their intranet named ‘Engage’ has developed into an indispensible communications tool. Due to its success, East Lancashire PCT has recently re-branded their intranet in line with the latest intranet design standards.

Along with the re-brand East Lancashire tPCT has also introduced one of SORCE’s newer applications, E-bulletin. This facility sends any “Engage” intranet user an online summary of the recent hot news from across the intranet on a weekly basis. This new form of communication has replaced the traditional weekly newsletter. This has dramatically reduced East Lancashire’s administration costs and has helped to increase delivery times.

Future plans for East Lancashire tPCT are to continue to deliver more applications within their rebranded SORCE intranet, such as a Media library and Reference Guide.
