Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions win the ‘Best Newcomer’ category at the 2009 SORCE Awards. Despite stiff competition from ATS Euromaster and The Riverside Group, Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions were able to demonstrate how its use of both the standard SORCE applications and specifically created functionality had achieved both communication and business process enhancements within the organisation.

The Best Newcomer award is awarded to organisations that have been using the SORCE Intranet, Extranet or Portal for under 12 months. Focusing on organisations that have gone live within this timeframe the award looks at the transition the company has made and the immediate efficiencies it has produced.

Held at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth the annual SORCE User Conference brings the SORCE Intranet, Extranet and Portal user community together to share ideas and developments to enhance communication and efficiency using intranet, extranet or portal technology.
