Croydon College achieves an Award of Excellence in this year’s CiB Awards
Croydon College has achieved an award of excellence at this year’s CiB awards for STARS, their SORCE powered, Student Tracking and Records System.
Judges were particularly impressed with the impact STARS has had with both students and teachers, commenting: “Management are not just pleased, but genuinely enthusiastic about STARS and it is easy to see why..”, “this is an intranet application that helps them save failing students..”, “students that in the past would have would have dropped off the radar, can now be given extra help and attention so that they stay the course”.
The CiB awards are Europe’s biggest and most prestigious corporate communications competition, and have been celebrating the best in business for 60 years. With the achievement of an award of excellence under their belt, Croydon have been shortlisted for class winner of best Intranet solution. Competing against Cadbury, The Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Britannia Building Society and Urenco. The awards will be held on the 22nd May in Birmingham and hosted by comedian Hugh Dennis.
