Travelodge checks in to a SORCE Intranet
As the UK’s fastest growing hotel chain, Travelodge operates over 340 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain, with an additional 40 new hotels planned in 2008. Since opening its first hotel in 1985 Travelodge has been dedicated to helping consumers find the best accommodation deals in the UK, encouraging more people than ever before to stay in hotels.
With a number of different locations, Travelodge chose the feature rich SORCE intranet to help enhance communication and collaboration between its hotels and head office. Using the powerful document management application Travelodge is providing its hotel network with a centralised document repository. Staff can now access documents important to their daily activities all in one searchable location.
More than just a communications tool, Travelodge’s new intranet will also be used to help streamline parts of its existing business processes. By implementing applications such as score-carding, the results of hotel audits can be captured and reported directly on the intranet with access for relevant individuals. Using the intranet to automate business process helps Travelodge to free up time to focus on delivering an excellent service to its customers.
