Cairn Housing Association has for over 30 years served a wide variety of communities offering a range of affordable housing and a range of services.
With over 3,000 homes under management and offices in Edinburgh, Inverness, Glasgow, Coatbridge and Thurso, they address housing needs of people in both rural and urban areas, including older people and those requiring specialist support.
Due to the diverse operation over multiple sites, Cairn Housing required an easy to use communication platform for sharing information, increasing collaboration and sourcing untapped knowledge. As part of the communications strategy the intranet will help all staff keep up to date with the strategic focus of the business. This knowledge will help increase service levels, support and customer satisfaction.
The SORCE Document Management System will help centralise important policies and procedures increasing employees ability to perform their job faster with the confidence they have the right information. Using the ‘mandatory read’ feature each business service can be confident the correct versions of documents are read and understood by employees.
Later phases will introduce electronic forms with workflow helping to streamline process and further reduce administration overheads.
